Our favorite melodic dubstep duo, Adventure club are back with another collaboration with no other than Yuna. “Gold” was first premiered as the intro to Superheroes Anonymous Vol. 2 and quickly caught fire. This high energy chillstep track will definitely be the fall highlight of anyone’s night who gets the pleasure of hearing it live.
As they prepare for their “Superheroes” tour this fall, they also promise an upcoming album “Calling All Heroes Pt. 1″ with influences from Flux Pavilion, Koreless, Cyril Hahn, W&W and more. “Gold” will be officially available on Sept. 17 through BMG.
See if these superheroes are dropping by to save your city here.
Happy Saturday, loyal readers! I don’t know what’s up with the weather today, but it’s gloomy outside without any trace of the sunshine we’re so accustomed to here in Southern California – definitely summertime sadness. ETC!ETC! has certainly trappedthe essence of day for me in his remake of Cerdric Gervais’s remix of Lana Del Rey’s radio chart topping hit. Damn you, mother nature! Where’s my sun?!
Keeping a close eye on The Chainsmokers for the past month or two has proven to be eargasmic. This duo from New York officially won me over with their remix of Say Lou Lou’s “Julian” and they continue to impress with their latest remix of ASTR’s “Operate”. Adding their unique progressive chords to indie vocals, The Chainsmokers’ signature style is so addictively captivating. They keep raising the bar for themselves by turning these good ol’ indie tunes into bubbly new indie-house choons – just in time for summer! And I saved the best for last, free downloads!
I know it’s almost officially summertime when Tiësto’s new volume of Club Life is on its way. The first track off of his upcoming Club Life Volume 3: Stockholm, available June 25, is an emotive track featuring Kyler England. “Find Me” is refreshing with less bass than Tiësto has been producing lately and more progressive with hints of trance and a summertime anthem vibe. Drop the beat for the lyrics.
It’s only Wednesday, but I’d have to say this week’s gem is Marcus Schossow’s remix of Lana Del Rey’s “Young and Beautiful”. The original track is nostalgic enough as it is, but this remix takes it to another level with a warm uplifting feel and shimmers as much as the Great Gatsby itself. With so many remixes of this song out there, this definitely is one of my top favorites for summer and guess what? It’s free to download here. Enjoy, old sport!
Out today is “Warmest Day”, a breathtaking vocal track from Our Stolen Theory with a stunning remix from Mike Shiver & Johan Vilborg. These swedes turn this downtempo track into something anthemic, uplifting and emotive. Mike Shiver is definitely not a stranger to producing this type of sound, and Johan Vilborg seems to share that passion with him, which makes this such an unbelievably beautiful partnership.

Daft Punk has mastered the art of the ultimate tease as we’ve heard snippets of this song on Saturday Night Live and last week at Coachella without an appearance from the duo, unfortunately. They need to have their own genre, because no words can really define what they have done and will continue to do. Newly released at midnight, “Get Lucky” featuring silky vocals from Pharrell Williams is nothing short of the timeless funk that is Daft Punk, and honestly aren’t we all just “up all night to get lucky”? This is only the beginning as their new album Random Access Memories is set to be released May 21. Drop the beat for the lyrics!

Nari & Milani, the same people that brought you the dance floor destroyer known as “Atom”, has teamed up with Maurizio Gubellini to create a chart topping track sure to put Italy on the EDM map. “Vago” proves to the world that Italy is not just known for pizza, pasta, and supercars but also wicked good house. Have a listen!
Freshly released today is the single “Wanna Be”, a collaboration from upcoming American producer Pierce Fulton and Anjunabeat producer Maor Levi whichcombines the progressive element of house, electro and trance all in one. The original mix brings a more melodic sound while the club mix, first heard on Maor Levi’s sensational guest mix on Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy 017, turns up the energy with a monstrous drop. With uplifting buildups and catchy vocals, this long time fan couldn’t ask for MAOR! This release could not have come at a better time as Maor Levi is starting his American tour with a show tonight in Los Angeles at Belasco Theatre.
“Trap” has got to be the fastest rising genre of 2012. It’s popped up so many times on my radar with infused attributes of other genres such as house, trance, dubstep, and drum and bass. Today we bring to you a trapped interpretation of W&W’s dance-floor-destroyer, “The Code”, remixed by Toronto native, Psychic Type. This is the perfect jam to cure Sunday Hangovers. Turn that sub-woofer up and enjoy!
